The Grampians Southern Ranges Walking Experience is an intimate luxury walking escape by Mount William Station, combining handpicked sections of the Grampians Peaks Trail with the warmth, privacy and refined hospitality of our award-winning country estate.

Across five nights and four days of walking, guests will explore some of the most spectacular sections of the Southern Grampians, with fully guided hikes through rugged ridgelines, forest trails, mountain views and natural landmarks. Each afternoon, return to the comforts of Mount William Station, where crackling fires, luxury hospitality, local wines and exceptional dining await.

This is not simply a hiking trip, but a curated luxury escape blending adventure, nature, fine food and understated country elegance.

Non-hiking guests are also welcome to join and enjoy the estate’s grounds, amenities and surrounding region, including local wineries, galleries, historic towns and producers.

Led by proven Globetrotting guides Brad and Michaela, with station hosts Will and Nadia overseeing your entire stay, you’ll ride across country that inspires poets, artists, winemakers, graziers and adventurers alike.

And that’s what makes this itinerary perfect for non-riders: horse or no horse, the Grampians is an incredibly diverse and exciting region to explore, and Mount William Station is the ideal base. With a private chef preparing each exquisite meal, friendly staff at your beck and call, classy ensuite accommodations, and a pool, sauna, tennis court and bar on-site, it is the definition of ‘bush luxe’.

On the trail, you’ll find sheep, cattle, kangaroos and emus grazing beneath mighty red gums, eagles soaring above rocky outcrops, undulating, forested hills, gravity-defying boulders, award- winning vineyards, and spectacular mountain views.

Nestled in one of Australia’s most spectacular natural backdrops, Gariwerd, Grampians Grape Escape is a must for everyone at least once in their life.

The festival village highlights the best producers and makers from Western Victoria with more than 100 stalls offering a treasure trove of delights, from exquisite wine and top-shelf whiskey to tantalising calamari and fragrant candles. The weekend also includes a diverse range of exhibitor masterclasses, cooking demonstrations, free kids’ activities, and live music so there will be something for everyone to explore at Grape Escape.

As one of the longest running food and wine festivals in Australia, the Grampians Grape Escape is not one to miss!
